Completely Compassionate

I am horrible at giving helpful advice. I’m working on it, but it’s difficult when people need it and accidentally put me under pressure to give it. I love to help people as much as I can, but it’s just one of my weaknesses. And although some of us are good at it, showing compassion is something we should all work on doing better.

Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.

Colossians 3:12

When someone around you is in need, have compassion towards them, be kind to them, be humble and gentle with them, and have patience towards them. Love them.

If someone comes to us with a problem, it’s our job to help them out. And let’s help them out kindly especially when they’re our brother or sister in Christ. This is very important because the Body can’t function properly if someone is going through something, and their brother or sister can’t or won’t help with it in a kind manner.

Our overall goal as Christians is to glorify God. This is hard to do in unity if we’re condemning or not helping someone on our team. They can’t reach their full potential until we help, and we won’t have all of the members working together until that person can contribute.

God has great compassion for us. Why can’t we have great compassion for each other?
